Membership Details
We are pleased that you have decided to join our club and we trust you will have an enjoyable experience with us at Spencer Park.
We have five different membership categories covering all ages and for any level of involvement in the club. Most members are ‘Active’ members, and we also offer an ‘Associate’ membership for people who just want to have a social affiliation.
Membership Categories
Senior Patrolling
The member is 14 years of age or over as at 30th September preceding the season and is a qualified lifeguard ( or is training to be a lifeguard) and carries out patrolling duties
Junior
The member is 13 years of age or under as at 30th September preceding the season.
Mini-Junior
The member is 9 years of age or under as at 30th September preceding the season.
Club Official
The member does not carry out patrolling duties but holds an appointed club officiating role, e.g. committee member, coach, junior coordinator, surf official etc.
Associate
The member is not actively involved in life-guarding or sport programmes but has a social affiliation with the club.
The membership year is from 1st July to 30th June

Application for Club Membership
New Members & Transfers
All members of surf lifesaving clubs around New Zealand must be registered with our parent organisation, Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ). This is a one time, only registration and there is no subscription fee to SLSNZ.
To apply online for membership or transfer with SLSNZ please click the button below, making sure you select ‘Spencer Park SLSC’ in the club selection drop down. Please note that registration is required for each individual family member who wishes to become a member of the club.
If you are already registered with SLSNZ, you do not need to repeat this step each season.
If you are already registered with SLSNZ or have previously registered, you can then go to our Application for Club Membership and complete the club registration form or use our new online shop. Subscription fees must be paid to complete your registration, payment methods are detailed below.
Payment
You will be notified of your subscription amount due when you complete the online membership form. Membership will not become active until fees are received.
Subs are due for payment on or before 1 November. If you haven’t paid your subs by this date you cannot use club equipment or compete in Regional or National competitions.
